Love Jack & Jill? Send a letter to the WB to let them know how much the show means to you! (Even though snail mail is kind of a pain, it arguably holds the most weight because it takes the extra effort!) Below is a sample letter- if you like, feel free to copy it into an MS Word doc and send with your name, or type your own letter. Send a separate letter to each of the following people: Mr. Jordan Levin Executive VP, Programming Ms.Susanne Daniels, President, Entertainment Mr.Jamie Keilner, CEO _____________________________________________________ The address is: The WB Television Network 3701 Oak Street Burbank, CA 91522 ____________________________________________________________ Dear (fill in exec's name): As you can tell by the overflowing amount of “Save Jack and Jill” pleas on the WB website, Jack and Jill has an extremely strong and loyal fan base. On behalf of the other fans who share in my request, please renew Jack and Jill for next fall. Currently, there are no other shows on TV to which twentysomethings can easily relate. Dawson’s Creek is geared more toward high schoolers, 90210 has lost its steam, and the characters on Friends are moving into their 30s full speed ahead. Even though Felicity reminds us of our college days, it does not address the real life challenges and stresses that Jack and Jill does. Jack and Jill explores the issues recent college grads struggle through—jobs, relationships, new friends— in a funny and realistic manner. Few hour long shows nowdays can manage to include comedy as well as drama, but J&J pulls it off. The characters are fun and endearing - you actually care what happens to them. The plots are creative and include all the characters on the show for variety. Of course, J&J does not appeal to twentysomethings alone. It attracts advertiser favorites like high schoolers and college students by previewing “real life,” and it draws in viewers past their 20s by reminding them of those challenging post-college days. The audience is out there. The fan base is strong, and growing. Please give Jack and Jill another chance and renew it for the fall season. Sincerely, (your name)
